Five-role method

How to build a simple body-care routine

Start with what you already own. Give every product one clear job before buying anything new.

The short answer

A simple body-care routine uses one product for each job you actually need: cleanse, polish, moisturize, scent, and reset. You may not need all five every day. The goal is a routine you can remember and repeat.

1

Cleanse

Choose one comfortable cleansing product for regular use. More cleansers do not automatically create a better routine.

2

Polish

Use a gentle tool or optional exfoliating step only as often as it comfortably fits your routine.

3

Moisturize

Choose one lotion, butter, or oil based on the texture and finish you prefer.

4

Scent

Add one optional scent cue. Skip it when fragrance does not fit the situation or your preference.

5

Reset

Return products, hang towels, and prepare the space so tomorrow’s routine starts without friction.

Build the three-minute version first

On a busy day, use one cleanse step, one comfort or moisture step, and one reset action. Add optional steps only when they remain easy to repeat.

Before buying another product

  1. Name the role it will perform.
  2. Decide when you will use it.
  3. Identify what it replaces.
  4. Confirm the cost fits your current budget.
